You make such a great point. Way back in my college days 1968-1972 race riots were an everyday event. I was a white cheerleader, my friends were mostly the black athletes. We were a team. Girls, boys, black, white. Go team go! 📣 our college addressed the problem of discrimination by forcing us to go to discussions between how whites unconsciously show racial bias. We were forced to have compassionate discussions! Best college education I had. Changed my views forever, and helped me to be cognizant of other races and learn their views. This real education helped me be a better white school counselor in a predominantly black middle school. We need those same conversations on today’s college campuses!
