I love this story so much! I interrupt as well but I love the term cooperative overlapping! I've read several Deborah Tannen books and she is a great author. My favorite book was "You're wearing that"? advice for mothers and daughters. very helpful! My husband gets annoyed with me too, in fact at a dinner party I interrupted him, and he said out loud"I opened my mouth and her voice came out". I was more careful after that! Great info! thx.
